What is Black Friday?

Black Friday is the Friday following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, traditionally the beginning of the Christmas shopping season.

The term dates back to at least 1966, although its usage was primarily on the East coast. The term has become more common in other parts of the country since 2000.

Because Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday in November in the United States, Black Friday occurs between the 23rd and the 29th of November. According to Reuters, in 2007 135 million people participated in the Black Friday shopping rush and many more will go to find black friday deals 2010 this year.

Black Friday is not an official holiday, but as many workers have the day off as part of the Thanksgiving holiday, this increases the number of potential shoppers. Retailers often decorate for the Christmas and holiday season weeks beforehand.

Many retailers open extremely early, with most of the retailers typically opening at 5AM or even earlier. Some of the larger retailers (depending on the location) such as Sears, Best Buy, Macy's, Toys "R" Us, Walmart and amazon black friday ads 2010 have been reported to open as early as midnight on the start of Black Friday in localized areas and remain open for 24 hours throughout the day until midnight the following Saturday.

Upon opening, retailers offer doorbuster deals and loss leaders to draw people to their stores. Although Black Friday, as the first shopping day after Thanksgiving, has served as the unofficial beginning of the Christmas season at least since the start of the modern Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1924, the term "Black Friday" has been traced back only to the 1960s.

Playing In PSN

I've been playing a lot of Playstation lately and all I can say is that I need a PSN code generator fast! I have a lot of things I want to buy that's why.

PlayStation Network, often abbreviated to PSN, is an online multiplayer gaming and digital media delivery service provided/run by Sony Computer Entertainment for use with the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable video game consoles.

As of June 2010, there are now over 50 million registered PlayStation Network accounts worldwide. And I still need a Playstation network code generator for free.

Wimpy Cool

I tried to look for websites where you can watch Diary of a Wimpy Kid online and there are already a lot. But I think I will just watch this in the cinema houses.

How about you? Do you know about this movie already? Are you going to watch this one?

Super Bowl 44 Picks

My heart says Saints, but my head says Colts. So who will win this one? I don't know but I will surely know when I watch SuperBowl 44 online on Sunday.

Keeping the Peytonator on the sidelines is a good plan, as far as it goes. But do you remember that game earlier this season when the Colts held the ball for less than 15 minutes and won anyway? And they scored 14 points in about 30 seconds?

The man does not need much time to win the game. Frankly, if you're dependent on the arrival of "The Turnover Fairy" to win the game, you might be in trouble.

I do feel that the best team in each conference is representing at the Super Bowl 44, rather than one or both being repped by teams that just happened to get hot at the right time. And if good wishes were points, the Saints would win this easily, since I think everyone who doesn't live in Indianapolis (and even maybe some who do) are rooting for the Saints.

Every bit of reason...everything I know or pretend to know or suspect I know or am widely believed to know about football...everything I absorbed from watching umpteen games and hours and hours of SportsCenter and the NFL Network...tells me the Colts are going to win this.

I'm calling Saints away. That's my Super Bowl 2010 pick.
